Invented Words

In another life I would have been an avid linguist. Nevertheless I am still fascinated by language, and the despite the handicaps of the English language, its roots allow for a great ability to invent new words or phrases to communicate ideas. I either have made these up or have come across them in my life. I will add to them in time, don’t you worry. Enjoy!

demi-Catholic /dehmee-Kathlick/  n. 1. A Protestant who has an appreciation for, but not necessarily adherence to, the Catholic faith. 2. One who, deep down, sometimes wants to be Catholic, but just can’t make the leap.
